The right camera for every room
Depending on the application and room size, the cameras differ in their design and function. While so-called "all-in-one solutions" or USB cameras, in which all hardware and software components are often integrated into a single unit, tend to be used for smaller meeting rooms, higher-quality cameras with tilt, pan and zoom (PTZ) options are used for larger conference rooms. In professional video conferencing systems, the PTZ cameras can be conveniently controlled remotely using a remote control or touch display. The properties of a camera, such as zoom and viewing angle, vary from device to device: everything from 4x zoom to 12x zoom and even 20x zoom is available.
Camera solutions for small conference rooms
In small conference rooms, a wide viewing angle is crucial in order to optimally include all meeting participants. In addition to good resolution and practical adjustment options for white balance and lighting, it is particularly important that the camera works seamlessly with the software and other technical components.
In addition to component solutions consisting of individual devices for video and audio, all-in-one video bars are also ideal for these types of rooms. These offer a simple and efficient solution for room equipment.
Cameras for medium-sized rooms
For medium-sized rooms, we recommend room cameras with good resolution and zoom capability to ensure higher image quality and a clear view of all participants.
To ensure that each meeting member is adequately represented, cameras with a speaker tracking function are the solution.
This automatically recognizes the speaker and directs the camera towards them. This can be done using (automatic) PTZ and software, for example. This ensures optimum visibility and meeting equality for all participants.
Cameras for large rooms
For large conference rooms, it is important to use cameras with multiple zoom and PTZ capability to ensure the ideal viewing angle. High resolution is also of great importance to achieve clear image quality.
Depending on the size of the room, several cameras can also be installed to cover different viewing angles. The alternation of images enables a natural and interactive meeting experience.
Additional functions such as speaker tracking and smart framing draw attention to the essentials and contribute to effective communication.
